California Trailblazers, a program with a track record of successfully recruiting, training, and helping to elect the next generation of Republican leaders, today announced its board of directors classified Kevin Kiley (AD – 6) as a ‘Trailblazer,’ the third tier and highest distinction in the program.

“Kiley has continued to prove himself on the campaign trail,” said Trailblazers CEO Jessica Patterson. “Through strong fundraising efforts and a robust volunteer program, Kiley continues to engage the sixth Assembly district through positive education about conservative issues that matter to the local community.”

To become ‘Trailblazers,’ candidates must meet rigorous campaign metrics established by the program. ‘Trailblazers’ have raised more than $400,000, without loans or personal funds, and identified a clear path to victory in their districts. In addition, these candidates have also created and are executing strong media, fundraising, social media, coalition, finance and Get Out The Vote plans, and have participated in Trailblazers trainings to learn sophisticated campaign strategies and tactics.

Kiley is a former Deputy Attorney General who represented the state of California. Prior to serving as Deputy Attorney General, he taught 10th grade English at a South Central Los Angeles high school, devoting himself to education and leading an award-winning speech and debate team. Kiley earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard, a law degree from Yale, and a master’s in secondary education from Loyola Marymount. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Previously, Kiley worked for Irell & Manella, where he represented individuals and businesses in high stakes litigation.

“Kiley is a tremendous example of the leaders California Trailblazers aims to elect to office and represents the next generation of Republican leaders who are engaged, enthusiastic and equipped with the experience and knowledge to win elections and lead from day one,” said Trailblazers CEO Jessica Patterson.

Until the November 8 election, California Trailblazers will continue to provide support to Republican legislative candidates to ensure they are positioned to win.
